Yep - we've sold a house... but not the one you are thinking of! By a gift from God we have sold my house in Greenville that we have been renting out for the last 2 years. (well, technically we close on it next Friday).
A few weeks ago we got a letter in the mail from a girl looking to buy a place on my street and was asking if anybody was willing to sell. I immediately gave her a call and we talked numbers. Her price was less than we were asking so we told her thanks and good luck and ended it there. A few days later Brett and I just couldn't stop thinking about it and decided to call her back. We told her to at least go look at the place then we would go from there if she were interested. Well, my parents met her over there on a Sunday morning and by Tuesday morning she had emailed us a contract. She did come up on the price and after we calculated what we would have paid in realtor fees to sell it down the road we figured it was too good to pass up! Now, talk about a "God thing"!
We can't wait for everything to be official next week and have this piece of property off our hands. With us looking for a new house in Columbia, this really couldn't have come at a better time for us!
It was a WONDERFUL first home for me and I will certainly miss it but it is definitely time to see it go!
So long 21 Rock Side Court... it's been real!
