First Anniversary!

(Love it or hate it, this post is a doozy with lots of pictures)

One year ago today this happened...

And I got to become this...
All because of these amazing friends who played a part in setting us up on our first date.

Our wedding ceremony took place at my childhood church, Covenant United Methodist Church in Greer, SC.

With our reception at The Thornblade Country Club also in Greer.

Brett and I wouldn't be where we are today without the love and support of our families.

And were so thankful to have amazing friends to stand by our sides during such a special day.

The day started out with hair and makeup at the salon...
followed by getting dressed and pictures at Thornblade.
Then, we all loaded up and headed to the church!
Brett and I exchanged gifts...

we had a quick makeup touch-up...

then it was Dad's turn to take the stage...

 while mom lovingly watched on.
We exchanged rings, a few laughs...
and a prayer...
before we became MR. and MRS.

A few high fives for a job well done... now that the hard part was over!
And we were off to the party...

But not before a champagne toast to start the night off right!

Our parents were just so glad they could finally RELAX and have fun!

But there were still a few more tasks to complete before the real party could start.
We had our First Dance...

The Father/Daughter Dance...

The Cake Cutting...

And a champagne toast to our wonderful guests!

By then the band was starting to heat up...
And it was time to grab and drink and a koozie...

And hit the dance floor!

Brett and I did manage to hit the photo booth for at least 1 shot,
Before grabbing some musical instruments,
And taking to the mic for a song on our own.

My sorority sisters also had a few songs to sing as a Tri Delta tradition!
But before too long the night was coming to a close but not before we got "a little bit softer" during "Shout!"

Then it was time to close out the night, grab a favor...

and say our farewells!

The End!

Our wedding was truly one of the best days of my entire life and one I will never forget! It's amazing that this was a year ago. People say that the first year of marriage is the hardest and if that is the case, I think Brett and I will do just fine through the rest of our lives as this year has been so much fun!

Can't wait for tonight to dig into our wedding cake, have a glass of champagne and go to dinner at one of our favorite spots! Oh, and go to Puerto Rico in a few days! Man, I wish we could celebrate our first anniversary every year!!
